Who’s BeHome?

BeHome is a home décor brand founded in 2006 by Jonathan Hankar, when he moved from Belgium to California. Inspired by the natural and laid-back lifestyle of the West Coast, he started BeHome to offer bespoke, handmade goods that stood out in a market flooded by mass-produced products. Later in 2014, Patricia Gomez Hankar joined BeHome and Jonathan in this journey of curating timeless, handmade home décor items.

BeHome works with artisan groups across the world, specifically family owned and women-owned craft businesses. Every piece produced for BeHome is made using natural and reclaimed materials, while the designing process takes place in Northern California.

Today, BeHome also has a presence across Europe with a base in Belgium.
